SARS COV-2 - Vaccinations

[I reserve the right to update and alter this information... it is largely a typed version of an existing and ongoing conversation in my mind (or Ross's in the case of his section) and I continue to do my own research as well as being open to conversation with others about it!]

Why we are not getting the COVID Vaccination…

Before going into more individual reasons, let me start by explaining why I am refer to the decision about having a COVID vaccination as being a "personal" one.

The vaccinations currently available for SARS COV 2 have not yet been tested in the usual 4th phase of testing, which would determine if one can still acquire and/or transmit the virus. Despite rhetoric going out about "having it to save others", this is NOT proven.  E
ven for the "usual style" vaccines (and more likely to be the case with the RNA vaccines due to the way that they work),  and even after a period of time and/or 2nd dose, one can probably still contract the virus and pass it on to others, and this has stated by the UK government so is not a minority thinking (reference for this and many other statements made in this entry can be found in my further COVID research as linked to later on).

So, because the vaccination will only protect the individual who has it, the decision to have the vaccination should be a personal one, and I don't think that either "side" should think any less of those on the "other side" as everyone will have their own reasons, and their own level of risk, from or without it, as I refer to later on.  Ironically it's likely to be the same people who are more at risk of adverse reaction that are at most risk of a severe case of or death from COVID, but the expected length of one's life remaining should be a factor that puts one's level of risk from one greater than the other.

TYLER:

We have avoided vaccinations for Tyler since his pre-school multi-vaccine, as our knowledge and understanding of how vaccinations work have grown.

[The below is taken from my earlier post about vaccinations and Autism, and while this was related to the usual type of vaccine, not RNA ones, the broad concept is still the same]

Vaccinations ARE "completely safe" IF your child is completely healthy and their body, especially their immune system, is functioning properly.  And this is true of all vaccinations, because of the very nature of how they work.  The whole concept of a vaccination is completely dependent on the body doing with it what it was designed to do... i.e. ignore and expel the bad stuff (preservatives, carriers, etc) and use the good stuff (to create a reaction which produces immunity to that specific pathogen in a regular vaccine or, in the case of the new RNA one, to instruct cells how to react if the specific pathogen is encountered).

But, what happens if the body is unable to deal with (excrete, process, etc) the bad stuff?
And, what happens if the immune system is compromised at the time of injection... is the good stuff (pathogens intended to create a positive immune response) able to do its job and, if not, what happens instead?

Here is a doctor who agrees, and this probably reflects why Israel has since decided that they won't be giving the COVID vaccinations to any children in Israel - https://www.haaretz.com/us-news/.premium-why-i-an-israeli-pediatrician-won-t-recommend-vaccinating-kids-for-coronavirus-1.9351989

While Tyler's immune system is SO MUCH healthier now than it was as a child, I deem the risk of possible adverse reactions greater than the risk of COVID.  I also have a strong suspicion that the virus which really knocked him out for a few days back in early March 2020 may well have been COVID, even though he didn't display the classic symptoms, and therefore he likely, at this point in time (26/3/21) still has T cell memory to help him fight it off if he contracted it or a variant again in the near future.

Ross:

Ross's biggest argument is the possibility that human (aborted) fetal tissue was used in the development of most of the COVID vaccinations, and in the production of at least one of the ones being given in the UK.  He also remains wary of the full motivations/intentions behind the vaccination and worried about government control/intervention, including breach of human rights if the vaccine were to be mandated.

In Ross's opinion, the RNA vaccine is too close to "playing God" by altering the way that a person's RNA reacts.  He has asked God whether he should have the vaccination, and does not feel that he has been told to take it.

Both Ross and I refuse to put the amount of "hope" into a vaccination when we believe our only hope is in Jesus.  We know full well that the Lord does choose to work through medicine, surgery and treatments, so this point is more of a "principle" matter because we are seeing so many people putting far too much "hope" in the vaccination.

We both also feel strongly that "fear" is being used to push this vaccination, as well as the other restrictions and measures in place, and we refuse to be motivated by fear.  ("For God has not given us the spirit of fear..." 2 Tim 1:7).  The information being presented to people is very limited and one-sided, and people are making life and society altering decisions based on the fear they are feeling and this causes us great concern.

Finally, we both accept that we may be wrong, but neither of us are afraid to be ill or to die, other than knowing that Tyler will be taken care of well.

Jen:

I will not be getting the vaccination because I honestly and truly believe I don't need it.

My reasearch of SARS COV 2 has given me perspective that one cannot achieve by only listening to the government or mainstream media... being under the age of 50 and with no known underlying conditions and a seemingly healthy immune system, and with the understanding and treatment of SARS COV 2 having greatly increased and improved over the last 10 months, I am at such a low risk of dying that it does not compare to the unknown long-term risks of the brand new vaccination.  I have done a fair deal of research behind my percieved risk level that I am happy to share.

I would rather catch the virus and allow my body the chance to build natural antibodies, especially knowing that this virus will contine to mutate and the vaccination will only be useful for the current strains. However, I am fairly certain that I must have been exposed to the virus already over the last 10 months and will have been an asymptomatic carrier at some point, as I have continued to be out in the community and visiting public places as much as government restrictions allowed, with a mask and social distancing where required but not unless required either by law or out of respect for (an)other person(s).

Other facts which have influenced my decision are:

  • There is no possible way to know the possible impact/effects of these brand new vaccinations any longer than they have been in existence (on 26/3/21 that would be 8 months). These vaccinations WERE approved, but ONLY under emergency measures... they would NOT have been approved were those measures not in place.
  • The phase of medical testing on animals was skipped, and the subsequent phases of testing for knowing about preventing transmission is still underway.  In other words, everyone currently having the vaccination is part of the testing phase.
  • They have tried to make vaccinations like the current ones (for CoronaViruses and using mRNA) but previous attempts have NOT been successful, including all the ferrets used in one trial dying soon after being given the vaccination.
  • In the case of the mRNA vaccination, some of the ingredients used, including the lipid that is carrying the mRNA, has NEVER been used in a vaccination before.

Some new notes from my other blog entry:

  • We are now beginning to receieve evidence of natural antibody immunity, and will continue to ahead of vaccine immunity because it's been around for longer! They are seeing B-cell (the memory cells) immunity lasting to 6 months so far... this is better news to me than the vaccinations being available. L

  • Previous studies of mRNA vaccine for SARS COV 1, showed Viral Priming (a.k.a. damage, e.g. organs shutting down) where people had both the vaccine and exposure to the virus, especially where exposure happened first and damage being cause on 2nd (booster) vaccination. M
